New energy projects in Concord, NH

City officials in Concord, N.H., say several new solar thermal and energy efficiency projects will help save the city over $41,000 a year in energy costs and reduce its carbon footprint by more than 292,000 pounds of carbon dioxide each year.

Among the projects are LED pedestrian traffic signals and advanced lighting upgrades and controls. They were unveiled Thursday.

The project was a collaboration between the city, the state Office of Energy and Planning, the state Department of Public Utilities and U.S. Department of Energy, Unitil Corp. and ConEdison Solutions.
