North Korea has begun a four-day international trade fair in the country's northeast, where it is building an economic development zone in cooperation with China.
North Korea and China broke ground in June on the initial stage of the Rason economic zone amid the North's efforts to revive its economy.

Top Rason City People's Committee official Hwang Chol Nam says Chinese, Russian and other foreign companies are taking part in the development of the Rason zone.
