Journalists from Beijing are in Hawaii this week learning about the state and generating story ideas before the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation comes to Honolulu in November.
The APEC Hawaii Host Committee says the seven journalists arrived Monday and are to be on Oahu through Wednesday. They are to fly to the Big Island Thursday.
The journalists are from media outlets including The China Daily and Phoenix InfoNews Channel. They cover business, science and technology.
The University of Hawaii Cancer Center and Mauna Kea Summit are among the stops on their itinerary.
