Hawaii no longer has the highest average gas price in the nation.
Monday's average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Hawaii is $4.24, about four cents less than Alaska's average, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
Hawaii's average price has dropped 29 cents from a month ago, but it is still nearly 60 cents more than a year ago.
The nationwide average is $3.84, a penny less than last month and more than a dollar higher than last year.
Hawaii was the first state to hit the $4 mark in March.
