Suntech Power CFO Amy Zhang leaving post

NEW YORK

Solar company Suntech Power announced Monday that Chief Financial Officer Amy Zhang is leaving the company.

Zhang, who also serves as a board member, will be succeeded by David W. King.

King will take on the CFO role in April, with Zhang, who the company said is pursuing other opportunities, assisting with the transition. King previously served as the CFO and treasurer for Tetra Tech Inc., which provides consulting, engineering, program management, construction, and technical services for the resource management, energy and infrastructure markets.

Earlier this month Suntech reported that its fourth-quarter jumped sharply because of its share of the profits of affiliates.

Shares of Suntech Power Holdings Co. gained 29 cents, or 3.3 percent, to $9.20 in morning trading. The stock has traded in a range of $7.05 to $15.55 over the last year.
