British drug maker GlaxoSmithKline PLC said Wednesday that Chief Financial Officer Julian Heslop will retire at the end of March 2011.
The company said Heslop will be replaced by Simon Dingemans, a managing director and partner at Goldman Sachs Inc. GlaxoSmithKline said Dingemans has spent more than 25 years in investment banking and most recently led Goldman's European M&A business.
Heslop became GlaxoSmithKline's CFO in April 2005. He joined Glaxo Wellcome in 1998. The company combined with SmithKline Beecham in 2000 to form GlaxoSmithKline.
