WASHINGTON
3Par Inc. announced a partnership Tuesday with Dongbu CNI, an information technology company based in Seoul, to sell 3Par's data storage products and maintenance services throughout Korea.
Under the terms of the agreement, Dongbu will sell and provide support for the 3Par Utility Storage platform, including servers and software. The companies plan to focus on selling cloud computing data centers, equipment and services to large corporations, financial services firms and Web portals.
Hewlett-Packard Co. recently beat out Dell Inc. in a bidding war for 3Par, of Fremont, Calif., with an offer of $2.07 billion, or $33 per share.
