WASHINGTON
Mail processing company Pitney Bowes Inc. spent $210,000 in the second quarter to lobby the federal government on reforming the funding of health benefits for postal service retirees and other issues, according to a disclosure report.
That's up slightly from the $200,000 that the company spent in the year-ago period, and even with the $210,000 it spent in the first quarter of 2010. The company also lobbied the federal government on legislation involving a reform of the financial regulatory system.
In the April-to-June period, the company lobbied Congress, the Postal Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Postal Service, according to the report filed July 14 with the House clerk's office.
