Echelon names Ron Sege as CEO

SAN JOSE, Calif.

Networking company Echelon Corp. said on Thursday that it has named Ron Sege as President and CEO.

Sege, 53, was most recently president and chief operating officer at 3Com Corp. from 2008 until it was acquired by Hewlett-Packard Co. earlier this year.

Before that, he was president and CEO of wireless broadband network provider Tropos Networks Inc. from 2004 to 2008.
