HUNTSVILLE, Ala.
Northrop Grumman received a $90 million order from the U.S. Missile Defense Agency to develop sensor technology used in missile defense, the company said Wednesday.
Northrop said the work under the 30-month order will enable more accurate tracking information for intercepting a missile earlier in flight. The company will also participate in flight and ground tests.
Northrop Grumman Corp. shares rose 28 cents to $57.80 in morning trading.
