A trade group representing small businesses is endorsing Carly Fiorina in the U.S. Senate race in California, marking the second time this month that a major business group has supported the GOP candidate.
The National Federation of Independent Business says it believes Fiorina will be friendlier to its 20,000 members in California because of her stand on taxes and regulation. For example, she supports extending tax cuts enacted in 2001 and 2003 for all taxpayers, including those families with incomes exceeding $250,000.
The group says incumbent Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer has taken stands that hurt small businesses, particularly with her support for health insurance legislation.
Fiorina has also picked up the nod of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
