OmniVision completes $5M acquisition of Aurora

SANTA CLARA, Calif.

OmniVision Technologies Inc., which makes image sensors for digital cameras and other devices, said it has completed the acquisition of Aurora Systems Inc.

Aurora makes components for digital projectors, ranging from handheld ones to home theater systems.

OmniVision paid $5 million for privately held Aurora, it said late Thursday. It does not expect the acquisition to have a significant effect on revenues and earnings for the current quarter.
