Shopping centers spent $211,914 on 4Q lobbying

The International Council of Shopping Centers, a trade group for shopping malls, spent $211,914 in the fourth quarter lobbying the government on legislation involving taxation and other issues, according to a recent disclosure form.

That was less than the $244,790 spent in the third quarter of 2009 but more than the $190,000 spent in the fourth quarter of 2008. ICSC also lobbied on legislation involving security awareness training programs, clean water and energy efficiency, according to the report it filed Jan 20 with the House's clerk's office covering October through December.
