CA completes Nimsoft acquisition for $350 million

ISLANDIA, N.Y.

Information technology company CA Inc. said Wednesday that it has completed its $350 million purchase of Nimsoft Inc.

The all-cash deal was announced on March 10.

Nimsoft, a privately held company based in Redwood City, Calif., sells software that monitors the different components of a company's information technology environment.

CA said the acquisition extends its ability to meet IT management needs and strengthens its presence in growing international markets.

Nimsoft will operate as a standalone business unit within CA's cloud products and solutions business line.

Shares of CA added 27 cents to close at $23.51.
