Tyco subsidiary changes its name

MORRISTOWN, N.J.

Tyco Telecommunications said Tuesday it has changed its name to Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications, or TE SubCom.

Tyco Telecommunications is a unit of Tyco Electronics Ltd., which is based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

The subsidiary installs and maintains undersea cable systems. It said the makeup of its management team and the location of its headquarters and other facilities are unchanged.

Its shares fell 9 cents to $26.62 in after-hours trading Tuesday after closing the regular session up 18 cents at $26.71.
