HOUSTON
Continental Airlines said Tuesday it would begin a codesharing agreement with All Nippon Airways Co. on routes between the U.S. and Japan, creating its first such agreement with a Japanese airline.
The codesharing deal is scheduled to begin March 28.
Continental, based in Houston, said U.S. travelers would be able to access ANA's network via Continental flights. And Continental flights to major U.S. cities, including hubs such as Houston and Newark, N.J., will provide connections with ANA flights to Japan.
Continental's shares rose 6 cents to $23.26 in after-hours trading Tuesday after closing the regular session down 6 cents.
