Oil prices climbed back near $82 on Tuesday as the Federal Reserve said again it will hold interest rates at record lows to support an economic recovery.
Here's a breakdown of how energy prices traded Tuesday:
Crude: rose $1.90 to settle at $81.70 a barrel.
Gasoline: gained 5.22 cents to settle at $2.275 a gallon.
Heating oil: climbed 5.67 cents to settle at $2.1143 a gallon.
Natural gas: gave up 4.4 cents to settle at $4.347 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE futures exchange:
Brent crude: rose $1.13 to settle at $79.02.
