American Gaming spends $345,000 on lobbying

The American Gaming Association spent $345,000 in the fourth quarter to lobby on issues such as online gambling and health care reform, according to a recent disclosure report.

The Washington D.C. industry group for commercial casinos also lobbied the federal government on Indian gaming, the mobile work force state income tax fairness and simplification act, the employee free choice act and the net operating loss carry back act, according to a form filed Jan. 15.

Between October and December, AGA lobbied Congress the White House Office and the Department of Interior.

The association's members include Las Vegas Sands Corp., MGM Mirage, Boyd Gaming Corp., International Game Technology, Harrah's Entertainment Inc., Bally Technologies Inc. and other casino operators and gambling equipment companies.
