Shares of some top specialty retail companies were mixed at the close of trading:

AutoZone fell $.52 or .4 percent, to $143.67.

Gap rose $.28 or 1.3 percent, to $22.42.

Home Depot rose $.10 or .4 percent, to $27.34.

Lowes rose $.38 or 1.8 percent, to $21.85.

OfficeMax rose $.52 or 4.5 percent, to $12.17.

TJX Companies rose $.25 or .6 percent, to $38.98.
