Shares of some top specialty retail companies were mixed at the close of trading:

AutoZone rose $4.16 or 2.9 percent, to $147.51.

Gap rose $.02 or .1 percent, to $22.70.

Home Depot rose $.49 or 1.8 percent, to $27.31.

Lowes rose $.29 or 1.4 percent, to $21.30.

OfficeMax fell $.20 or 1.6 percent, to $12.19.

TJX Companies fell $.04 or .1 percent, to $39.14.
