Shares of some top managed care companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Aetna rose $.07 or .2 percent, to $29.87.

CIGNA fell $.05 or .2 percent, to $30.90.

Coventry Healthcare rose $.36 or 1.6 percent, to $23.00.

Humana fell $.10 or .2 percent, to $41.71.

UnitedHealth rose $.40 or 1.4 percent, to $29.37.

WellPoint rose $1.03 or 2.0 percent, to $53.39.
