SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AP) -- Advanced Micro Devices Inc. said its gross profit margin should improve next year as chip sales pick up.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) -- Auto parts supplier Lear Corp., which emerged from bankruptcy protection two days ago, said it expects sales this year will total $9.5 billion, well below last year's results.

NEWARK, Calif. (AP) -- SMART Modular Technologies Inc. raised its guidance for its fiscal first quarter. The computer memory products maker cited increasing demand from personal computer and business clients.
