WALTHAM, Mass.
Biotechnology company ImmunoGen Inc. said Wednesday that Stephen McCluski is replacing Mitchel Sayare as chairman of the board.
McCluski, 57, is a former chairman and CEO of eye care products maker Bausch & Lomb. He has been on ImmunoGen's board since April 2007. Sayare, 61, was ImmunoGen's CEO from 1986 until the end of 2008, and he has been a board member since 1989. He will remain on the board of directors.
ImmunoGen also said Howard Pien, 51, was elected to the board. Pien was chairman and CEO of Medarex Inc. for about two years, until Medarex was acquired by Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. in September.
In afternoon trading, ImmunoGen stock added 4 cents to $7.94.
