Barrick Gold rose $.18 or .4 percent, to $43.31.

Gold Fields fell $.12 or .8 percent, to $14.50.

Goldcorp rose $.29 or .7 percent, to $44.34.

Newmont Mining rose $.92 or 1.8 percent, to $51.38.
