Covidien fell $.13 or .3 percent, to $44.46.

Millipore rose $.39 or .6 percent, to $69.45.

Patterson rose $.01 or percent, to $26.31.

PerkinElmer fell $.10 or .5 percent, to $19.50.

Thermo Fisher rose $.08 or .2 percent, to $45.20.

Varian Medical rose $.29 or .6 percent, to $45.28.

Waters fell $.34 or .6 percent, to $60.32.
