Sears Holdings names John D. Goodman EVP of unit

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.

Retailer Sears Holdings Corp. said Monday it named John D. Goodman executive vice president of its apparel and home unit.

Goodman will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of Sears Holdings' apparel and home businesses in stores and online.

Sears said it will establish a San Francisco office, where Goodman will be based.

Goodman previously served as chief apparel and home officer for Kmart and as chief executive for apparel retailer Charlotte Russe.

Shares of the company rose $2.73, or 4 percent, to $70.38 in afternoon trading.
