President and COO of Macy's West Daniel Edelman promoted

CINCINNATI

Department store chain Macy's Inc. promoted President and Chief Operating Office Daniel Edelman of Macy's West to president of international retail development.

Robert Harrison, president and COO of Macy's Northwest in Seattle, will replace Edelman at Macy's West in San Francisco.

Edelman will be responsible for researching and analyzing opportunities for international expansion of the Macy's and Bloomingdale's brands.

Macy's Inc. operates more than 850 department stores in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico, and had sales of $26.3 billion last year.
