NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top utilities companies are up at 10 a.m.:

American Electric Power Co. rose $.47 or .9 percent, to $50.27.

Consolidated Edison Inc. Holding Co. rose $.41 or .7 percent, to $55.98.

Dominion Resources Inc. unchanged at $69.58.

Duke Energy Corp. rose $.49 or .7 percent, to $70.92.

Exelon rose $.24 or .8 percent, to $30.41.

PG&E rose $.20 or .5 percent, to $43.59.

Southern Co. rose $.18 or .4 percent, to $42.19.
