NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

Actavis plc : Approximately 13,575,900 shares changed hands, a 902.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $9.59 or 5.0 percent to $201.47.

Atlas Energy LP : Approximately 1,716,000 shares changed hands, a 450.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $3.73 or 7.8 percent to $43.80.

Atlas Pipeline Partners LP : Approximately 3,077,800 shares changed hands, a 522.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $2.08 or 6.3 percent to $31.00.

Chemed Corp. : Approximately 1,758,700 shares changed hands, a 665.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $8.05 or 10.5 percent to $84.93.

Denali Fund : Approximately 18,100 shares changed hands, a 518.9 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.14 or .7 percent to $19.54.

Dresser-Rand Group : Approximately 7,371,700 shares changed hands, a 871.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $4.60 or 7.8 percent to $54.10.

Forest Laboratories Inc. : Approximately 27,530,600 shares changed hands, a 1,159.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $19.65 or 27.5 percent to $91.04.
