L-3 Communications raises dividend 9 percent


NEW YORK (AP) — Defense contractor L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. announced Tuesday it is raising its quarterly dividend by 9 percent.

The New York-based company, which makes secure communications systems, will pay a dividend of 60 cents a share, up from 55 cents. The next quarterly dividend is payable on March 17 to shareholders of record as of March 3.

Shares of L-3 Communications rose 52 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $112.92 in afternoon trading.
