NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

Brown & Brown Inc. : Approximately 6,929,500 shares changed hands, a 583.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $2.40 or 7.8 percent to $28.28.

Dun & Bradstreet Corp. : Approximately 2,794,600 shares changed hands, a 569.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $10.88 or 10.2 percent to $95.58.

Enzo Biochem : Approximately 1,218,200 shares changed hands, a 566.9 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.48 or 17.5 percent to $3.23.

Headwaters Inc. : Approximately 3,015,500 shares changed hands, a 446.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $2.14 or 20.2 percent to $12.71.

Inphi Corp. : Approximately 1,480,300 shares changed hands, a 960.3 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.70 or 6.1 percent to $12.17.

NewMarket Corp. : Approximately 233,900 shares changed hands, a 446.6 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $6.05 or 1.9 percent to $330.49.

Old Republic International Corp. : Approximately 7,630,400 shares changed hands, a 431.6 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.02 or .1 percent to $14.72.
