CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Federal mining regulators issued 130 citations during September impact inspections.
The U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration says it also issued 13 orders following inspections at nine coal mines and one other mine.
MSHA issued 25 citations and 13 orders at Red River Coal Co.'s No. 1 Prep Plant in Wise County, Va.

Mines in West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Colorado and Massachusetts also received citations.
The inspections began in 2010 after a mine explosion at the Upper Big Branch Mine in West Virginia that killed 29 coal miners.
