Lockheed says Sim-Industries CEO is stepping down

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — Lockheed Martin Corp.'s Sim-Industries unit said Monday that company founder Frank Uit den Bogaard is stepping down as CEO.

Jeffrey Wood will become the new CEO of Sim-Industries, which is a commercial aviation simulation company. Wood, 48, has previously been in charge of airlines and fleets for StandardAero and is a former president and CEO of Airfoil Technologies International.

Sim-Industries said Uit den Bogaard has led the Netherlands-based company since 2004. Lockheed Martin bought Sim-Industries BV in November 2011.
