Information on Brian Krzanich, Intel's new CEO
Brian Krzanich, a 31-year veteran of Intel, will become the chipmaker's sixth CEO on May 16, replacing Paul Otellini. Here are some biographical details on Krzanich.

CURRENT TITLE: Chief operating officer, Intel Corp.; CEO effective May 16.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in chemistry from San Jose State University, 1982.
CAREER: Named chief operating officer in January 2012. Previously held senior leadership positions in manufacturing, holding title of senior vice president for worldwide manufacturing before becoming COO. Joined Intel after college in 1982 as a process engineer in New Mexico.
OTHER APPOINTMENTS: Serves on boards of portable-energy company Lilliputian and industry trade group Semiconductor Industry Association.
