NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

ADT Corp. : Approximately 11,088,900 shares changed hands, a 457.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.52 or 1.1 percent to $45.95.

Blackrock Investment Quality Municipal Trust : Approximately 276,200 shares changed hands, a 592.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.31 or 1.9 percent to $15.84.

Blackrock New York Municipal 2018 Term Trust : Approximately 20,100 shares changed hands, a 402.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.02 or .1 percent to $15.50.

Genie Energy Ltd. : Approximately 499,300 shares changed hands, a 626.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $1.43 or 13.4 percent to $12.11.

Global Payments Inc. : Approximately 5,273,500 shares changed hands, a 600.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $4.49 or 9.2 percent to $44.52.

Imperial Holdings Inc. : Approximately 119,300 shares changed hands, a 442.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.13 or 3.2 percent to $4.17.
