Grain futures mostly rise, beef prices fall
CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures mostly rose Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for May delivery rose 7.5 cents t0 $6.715 a bushel; May corn rose 8.75 cents to $6.51 a bushel; May oats were flat at $3.7625 a bushel; while May soybeans rose 4.25 cents to $13.95 a bushel.
Beef prices fell, while pork prices rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
June live cattle slid 0.15 cent to $1.2395 a pound; May feeder cattle fell 0.30 cent to $1.4737 a pound; June lean hogs rose 0.68 cent to 92.25 cents a pound.
