Canadian National Railway Co. rose $1.21 or 1.3 percent, to $97.72.

Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. rose $.33 or .3 percent, to $126.44.

Kansas City Southern rose $1.26 or 1.2 percent, to $107.85.

Norfolk Southern Corp. fell $.06 or .1 percent, to $74.80.

Union Pacific rose $.49 or .4 percent, to $138.86.
