New York Times Co. fell $.12 or 1.2 percent, to $10.01.

News Corp. fell $.14 or .4 percent, to $30.24.

Time Warner Inc. fell $.20 or .4 percent, to $56.16.

Viacom Inc. fell $.29 or .5 percent, to $63.38.
