Aflac Inc. rose $.04 or .1 percent, to $50.76.

American International Group fell $.38 or 1.0 percent, to $37.92.

MBIA fell $.06 or .5 percent, to $11.50.

MGIC Investments Corp. fell $.01 or .2 percent, to $4.67.

MetLife fell $.18 or .5 percent, to $38.37.

XL Group PLC rose $.02 or .1 percent, to $30.24.
