NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

BankUnited Inc. : Approximately 1,768,900 shares changed hands, a 708.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.92 or 3.4 percent to $26.08.

Haverty Furniture Cos. class A : Approximately 3,400 shares changed hands, a 1,213.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares remained unchanged at $18.70.

Journal Communications Inc. : Approximately 1,442,900 shares changed hands, a 944.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.52 or 9.0 percent to $6.27.

KAR Auction Services Inc. : Approximately 7,586,900 shares changed hands, a 1,650.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.77 or 3.8 percent to $19.30.

Kayne Anderson MLP Investment Co. : Approximately 4,468,600 shares changed hands, a 1,336.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $1.78 or 5.1 percent to $33.33.

MGIC Investments Corp. : Approximately 147,045,400 shares changed hands, a 1,469.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.69 or 12.3 percent to $4.92.

MRC Global Inc. : Approximately 5,751,000 shares changed hands, a 1,253.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.65 or 2.2 percent to $30.00.
