ACE L rose $.16 or .2 percent, to $86.82.

Aflac Inc. rose $.16 or .3 percent, to $51.26.

American International Group rose $.60 or 1.6 percent, to $39.05.

MBIA fell $.09 or .7 percent, to $12.94.

MGIC Investments Corp. fell $.52 or 9.3 percent, to $5.09.

MetLife rose $.41 or 1.1 percent, to $36.95.

XL Group PLC rose $.18 or .6 percent, to $29.65.
