Comcast Corp. fell $.23 or .6 percent, to $40.62.

Walt Disney Co. fell $.04 or .1 percent, to $56.32.

Gannett rose $.58 or 2.8 percent, to $21.09.

New York Times Co. rose $.02 or .2 percent, to $9.63.

News Corp. rose $.01 or percent, to $30.35.

Time Warner Inc. rose $1.32 or 2.4 percent, to $56.78.

Viacom Inc. rose $.47 or .7 percent, to $63.38.
