ACE L fell $.04 or percent, to $86.62.

Aflac Inc. rose $.47 or .9 percent, to $51.57.

American International Group rose $.56 or 1.5 percent, to $39.01.

MBIA fell $.21 or 1.6 percent, to $12.81.

MGIC Investments Corp. fell $.69 or 12.3 percent, to $4.92.

MetLife rose $.67 or 1.8 percent, to $37.21.

XL Group PLC rose $.06 or .2 percent, to $29.53.
