ABILENE, Kan. (AP) — Two major snowstorms last month led Alco Stores Inc. to temporarily shut some stores, hurting February sales trends.
The retailer's revenue at stores open at least a year, excluding fuel, was unchanged from a year ago. That's a key retailer metric that strips out the impact of newly closed or opened stores.
Also has 217 stores in 23 states.
Revenue from continuing operations for the four-week period ended March 3, which also excludes fuel, rose 3.3 percent to $36.4 million.
Shares added 6 cents to $7.91 in afternoon trading.
