NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

Atlantic Power Corp. : Approximately 8,961,600 shares changed hands, a 827.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $1.21 or 17.0 percent to $5.91.

Bio-Rad Labs B : Approximately 4,100 shares changed hands, a 727.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.90 or .7 percent to $121.50.

DCP Midstream Partners LP : Approximately 2,009,800 shares changed hands, a 500.9 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $1.45 or 3.5 percent to $43.01.

Ferro Inc. : Approximately 12,032,500 shares changed hands, a 616.6 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $1.60 or 30.8 percent to $6.80.

Forestar Group : Approximately 1,716,100 shares changed hands, a 554.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $1.82 or 10.4 percent to $19.38.

Haverty Furniture Cos. class A : Approximately 1,700 shares changed hands, a 826.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.11 or .6 percent to $18.34.
