Walt Disney Co. rose $.19 or .3 percent, to $55.52.

Gannett fell $.05 or .2 percent, to $20.16.

New York Times Co. rose $.04 or .4 percent, to $9.61.

News Corp. fell $.04 or .1 percent, to $29.56.

Time Warner Inc. fell $.05 or .1 percent, to $53.57.

Viacom Inc. unchanged at $62.30.
