Amgen Inc. rose $.30 or .3 percent, to $89.77.

Biogen Idec rose $2.22 or 1.4 percent, to $164.21.

Celgene Corp. rose $.21 or .2 percent, to $99.66.

Gilead Sciences Inc. rose $.16 or .4 percent, to $42.41.
