AVG Technologies N.V. rose 14.1 percent to $14.98.

Hewlett Packard Co. rose 12.3 percent to $19.20.

Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. rose 11.0 percent to $59.81.

Whiting USA Trust rose 9.3 percent to $6.00.

Calgon Carbon Corp. rose 8.7 percent to $18.02.

Bill Barrett Corp. rose 8.0 percent to $17.20.

Goodrich Petroleum Corp. Holding Co. rose 7.6 percent to $13.64.
