NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

Arbor Realty Trust : Approximately 2,320,000 shares changed hands, a 1,262.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.18 or 2.3 percent to $7.88.

Bio-Rad Labs B : Approximately 8,500 shares changed hands, a 3,304.9 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $1.25 or 1.1 percent to $117.88.

Group 1 Automotive Inc. : Approximately 1,447,100 shares changed hands, a 615.6 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $5.03 or 7.5 percent to $61.62.

H.J. Heinz Co. : Approximately 18,710,100 shares changed hands, a 629.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.08 or .1 percent to $72.20.

Office Depot Inc. : Approximately 66,376,800 shares changed hands, a 1,214.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.43 or 9.4 percent to $5.02.

OfficeMax Inc. : Approximately 12,320,100 shares changed hands, a 769.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $2.25 or 20.9 percent to $13.00.

Robbins & Myers Inc. : Approximately 4,657,500 shares changed hands, a 652.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.45 or .8 percent to $59.98.
