Bond agencies rate Delaware AAA

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Delaware Gov. Jack Markell's office says the country's three major bond-rating agencies have awarded the state a AAA rating.

Markell announced the ratings on Wednesday. The announcement came with the state's proposed issuing of $340 million of general obligation bonds.

Of the bonds being sold, $115 million will be available to retail investors until Feb. 19.
